We collect information you provide directly to us, including:

  • School information — school name, address, number of students, role
  • Communications — messages sent through our contact or demo request forms
  • Payment information — processed securely by our third-party payment providers. We do not store full payment card details on our servers.
  • Usage data — how you interact with our platform, pages visited, features used
  • Device data — browser type, IP address, operating system (collected automatically)

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and improve the MySchoolPad platform
  • Respond to your enquiries and schedule demos
  • Send transactional communications (booking confirmations, invoices)
  • Send product updates and educational content (you can opt out at any time)
  • Ensure the security and integrity of our services
  • Comply with our legal obligations

We do not use student data to train third-party AI models, serve targeted advertising, or sell to data brokers — ever.

  • Legitimate interests — to improve our platform and communicate with you
  • Consent — for marketing communications and optional cookies

We do not sell your personal data. We may share it with trusted service providers who process data on our behalf, including:

  • Payment processors (Paystack, Stripe)
  • Analytics services (which may process pseudonymous usage data to help us understand platform performance and usage trends)

All processors are bound by data processing agreements and may only use data for the specific purposes we instruct.

We implement the strictest,reasonable technical and organisational security measures designed to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, or alteration. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

We retain personal data only as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law. Account data is retained for the duration of your subscription plus a reasonable period after. Contact form submissions are retained for up to 2 years.

You may request deletion of your data at any time (see "Your Rights" below).

MySchoolPad primarily stores and processes data within Nigeria and the EU. Where personal data is transferred outside the country in which it was collected, we implement appropriate safeguards such as contractual data protection clauses or equivalent legal mechanisms in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Rectification — request correction of inaccurate data
  • Erasure — request deletion of your data (the right to be forgotten)

11. Children's Privacy

MySchoolPad is a B2B platform deployed and managed by schools. We process student data strictly on behalf of and under the instructions of the school (the data controller). Schools are responsible for obtaining appropriate consents from parents or guardians where required by law.

We do not knowingly collect personal data directly from children under 13 without verified parental/guardian consent.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by displaying a prominent notice in the platform. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision.
